Spring is a very popular season for two reasons, the first being spring cleaning, the second being March Madness. In between basketball games and cleaning the garage, you can enjoy all the activities Orange County has to offer during this time of year. Talk a walk and enjoy the sight of beautiful flowers blooming everywhere or catch a show inside or out. No matter what you’re into, Orange County has something for everyone during spring.
The one thing not allowed in Orange County during spring is boredom with all of these fun things to do in the area.
Odysseo By Cavalia | Today-March 13th every Wednesday through Sunday
Odysseo showcases the beauty and art of the equestrian kind alongside tech and stage art that is rivaled by few. The show is currently touring, but just in time for spring, it stops in Orange County.
Musink | Friday, March 4th -Sunday, March 6th
Fri: 3PM-10pm; Sat:Noon-10pm; Sun: Noon-9pm
Musink is a convention of the broad genre covering tattoo’s cars and live music. The convention is held and was started by Travis Barker. During the convention, there will be 300 world renowned tattooers, 100’s of vendors, bands from all over, and cars of the Low and Slow type.
Dana Point Festival of Whales | Saturday, March 5th-Sunday, March 6th; Saturday, March 12th – Sunday, March 113th
The Dana Point Festival of Whales is more than just one type of festival, packed with activities for the whole family. The festivals include Art in The Park, art lessons, live music, sailing, fine arts show and sale, stand-up paddleboarding, movie in the park, carnival, BBQ and walking tours.
Downtown Anaheim Presents Community Yard Sale | Saturday, March 5th 8am-1pm
During spring cleaning, you’re sure to find a few things that you just don’t use anymore. One of the best rules to follow for spring cleaning is if you haven’t used it in over a month, it should be tossed out. Instead of tossing it out, bring it down to the biggest yard sale in Anaheim. Claiming a plot to sell your goods is only $10, but the experience is worth so much more.
The Coaster Run at Knott’s Berry Farm | Sunday, March 6th 7am
What’s better than riding roller coasters to benefit the Kids of Speech and Language Development Center? During the Coaster run, you can sign up for the 5K Run/Walk, 10K Run or the ½ Mile Kids Camp Snoopy Fun Run. Everyone gets a treat at the end of the run/walk and benefits for towards a good cause.
Orange County Restaurant Week | Sunday, March 6th- Saturday, March 12th
There are so many restaurants in Orange County for you to choose from, but during Restaurant Week in the OC, you get the best of the best. The top 100 restaurants in Orange County will all be participating by offering special prix fixe menus.
Natural Products Expo West | Wednesday, March 9th- Sunday, March 13th 9:30am-4pm
If healthy and natural products are your thing then this expo is a must see. Natural product vendors from all over will be gathering in the Anaheim Convention Center to participate in panels, sponsored displays and live entertainment.
Spring Family Festival at The Muckenthaler | Thursday, March 10th 6:30pm-8:30pm
Bring the family down to celebrate spring at the Muckenthaler museum. There will be art workshops, family-friendly activities and puppet shows. You can tour the grounds and get a taste of the history.
Spring Hop at Fashion Island | Saturday, March 12th 10am-2pm
This spring Hop is for the kids, but parents can come too. There will be face painting, balloon artists and a special visit by the Easter bunny for the perfect photos.
Children’s Spring Jubilee With the Easter Bunny | Saturday, March 12th-Sunday, March 13th 10am-4pm
Roger’s Gardens is hosting a fun-filled spring celebration for families. Take pictures with the Easter bunny, get your face painted and enjoy complimentary crafts. Then take an interactive walk through the gardens.
Bowers Museum Mummies of The World: The Exhibition | Begins Friday, March 18th
Mummies of The World: The Exhibition is a nationally recognized exhibit that is making it’s way to the Bowers Museum. There are more than 150 artifacts and even real human and animal mummies.
Firkfest 3.0 | Saturday, March 19th 12pm-4pm
This is for the adults as this is the third annual Firkfest Cask Beer festival. There will be four hours worth of unlimited pours from 30 breweries and 50 casks. Enjoy your craft beer with some of the best food trucks in the area.
Bunny Blast “An Egg Wonderland” | Saturday, March 19th 11am-3pm
Alice is bringing Wonderland to El Toro park for a fun-filled spring event. During the party, you can meet Alice, the Mad Hatter, the Cheshire Cat, White Rabbit and his friend the Easter bunny.
Crabfest Charity Event | Sunday, March 20th 4pm-7pm
Saying the phrase “all you can eat crab” is all some people need to head down to the Old World Village in Huntington Beach. There will also be a silent auction and live entertainment.
Fifth Annual Spring Fling at SoCo | Sunday, March 20th 10am-3pm
This event is a free one with some awesome activities for kids and is a great way to celebrate the season. Things like a petting zoo, egg hunt, photo booth, crafting and so much more make this a party the whole family can enjoy.
SoCo Uncorked | Thursday, March 31st 6pm-9pm
The whinos are never left out of the festivities and Uncorked is proof of that. Live music, dozens of wine producers and handcrafted wine for everyone to taste. Award winning restaurants from the SoCo area will all be in attendance for you to enjoy amazing pairings.
Orange County is the perfect place to be if you have a fear of boredom because there’s always something to do. You can head to the best beaches in Orange County or play at the parks, there’s something for everyone. During spring time, it gets even better as we welcome the beauty of nature with some awesome shows and festivals.
