March 2018 Orange County Events List
Festival of Colors | March 3 and March 10-11
Festival of colors has become one of the most popular events all around the world. While everyone has their own way of celebrating, there are a few staples. Live music, dancing, amazing food, and of course, cornstarch, food-grade dyed color powders. Many people have seen images of similar events and when you see them you’ll know why. Once the colored powder is thrown into the air, beautiful pictures are sure to follow. On March 3, the event will be held at Martha McLean Park in Riverside and on March 10-11 the event moves to Whittier Narrows Park in South El Monte.
Festival of Whales | March 3-4, 10-11
Dana Point celebrates the return of the California Grey Whale during Festival of Whales. The event consists of a parade, whale watching, art displays, a carnival, sand sculpting competitions and more. This year marks the 47th year of the Festival of Whales and it is sure to be a great time for the whole family. The event will be held at Dana Point Harbor.
Air + Style | March 3-4
Shaun White has inspired this event, now in its 4th year. This event is a combination of a sports event and a concert. This year, Phoenix, Zedd, and Gucci Mane will be headlining with more than 20 different acts performing throughout the event. Also, this year adds a street-style snowboarding contest and even more skateboarding competitions. The event takes place at Exposition Park in LA so it is a bit of a drive but it will be worth it.
Pechanga Wine Festival & Chocolate Decadence | March 9-10
One thing that many Orange County adults can agree on is that wine is beautifully delicious. During this wine festival in Temecula, top producers come together from California, France, Italy, Spain, Argentina, Chile, New Zealand, and Australia. There will be plenty of wines to try from many different parts of the world. There will even be artisan crafted chocolates and pastries to pair with the wines of your choice. The event is being held at the Pechanga Resort & Casino in Temecula.
California Irish Festival | March 10-11
March is the month when we all celebrate the luck of the Irish and Upland will be doing it big. Four city blocks will be shut down and turned into an Irish celebration. Food trucks, music, a beer garden, family-friendly activities and more will fill the streets with one idea in mind, celebrate the Irish. The fun starts at 11 am on both Saturday and Sunday but on Saturday it all ends at 11 pm and 10 pm on Sunday.
Latin Food Fest | March 23-24
Another culture that will shine during March is the Latin culture. During the Latin Food Fest at the Santa Monica Pier is your chance to try some amazing meals. Not only will you be given the chance to try Latin food, thee will also be Latin wine and spirits. This is a great way to celebrate Latin culture as food brings us all together in a beautiful way.
