Great Park is a place where the family can come and enjoy the outdoors with neighbors, friends, and family. Not only are there events like Family Game Day there is also a way for you to see Irvine from above. The Great Park Balloon takes guests up to 400 feet above the ground and provides amazing views of Irvine and beyond. You can take the ride during the day and during the evening. During the evening is the best time because you will have a whole new view of an Irvine sunset.

The Irvine Spectrum Center is an outdoor shopping mall with over 100 boutique stores, a movie theater, spa and so much more. Bring the family down to enjoy a meal or get some shopping done. If shopping is getting boring and the kids are getting restless, head on over to the Giant Wheel which is 108 feet tall and is a great way to keep kids busy. The wheel is open every single day but it’s even prettier at night when the lights get turned on.

Things to do in Irvine California | UCI Arboretum

Every Tuesday through Saturday, UCI Opens the doors to its Arboretum for the public. Here, you’ll find amazing gardens filled with flowers from all over the world. All in, the garden space covers 12.5 acres and that makes for a great place to go for a walk or enjoy a picnic at the park. Kids will especially love running around in the open areas and you will enjoy all of the beauty of the gardens.

A great way to beat the heat is to head over to Buccaneer Cove, a water play area with water slide, tunnels, splash buckets and more. As we start to say goodbye to summer during its official months, the Irvine Global Village Festival kicks off.  In September, the festival fills Bill Barber Park with different forms of entertainment from all around the world. Families and neighbors can enjoy over 100 different dance and musical performances, foods from many different cultures and just enjoy the many different cultures that now call Irvine home. What makes this event even more fun is that it’s completely free with free transportation to and from the event since there is no parking available.
